about

“Panic From Dublin” tells the story of a band in crisis. On the track, lead singer Jurre Otto says: "[Guitarist] Teun and I wrote the song while we were recording in Saffron Walden (UK). We played the first demo of it to the other two band members, only after we'd finished the first parts, something we had never done before. Sometimes the emotion around a track is so heavy you’re even embarrassed to talk about it with your bandmates, especially when the lyrics are about personal issues from within the band.” Queen’s Pleasure channeled this tense energy into an ardent delivery, a track that highlights the expanse of talent the band members have to offer that makes you feel they are brimming on the edge of something special. This bright potential has slowly created ripple effects across the waters, with the track being recorded and produced by the UK-based Edd Hartwell. Hartwell has worked with Jeff Beck, Ed Sheeran, and assisted Jim Abbiss as audio engineer on The Arctic Monkeys’ highly acclaimed debut album, Whatever People Say I Am, That’s What I’m Not.

lyrics

It’s cool
A bad decision
But I’m not really sure what’s friction
Oh I mean I’m spinning
You could mark the spot where I fail

It’s hard
This conflicting image
But I like it when boys stay British
Knock my teeth out, should’ve gone mad
It’s panic from Dublin
Panic attack

I’m serious
I’m not winning
I tried to cry at the beginning
Make sure this Brit is singing
I’m never seeing double again

Shake it off
I really wanna turn around
Blow my face up, really really make it loud
I’m done but I really really really want to

Shake it off and really give me more to swallow
Lose my head, so I could be the one you follow
I'm done but i really really really want you

I’m serious
I’m not winning
I tried to cry at the beginning
I’m sure, I’m sure

It’s cool
Pull the trigger
You’re making God seem bigger
You could start new and turn into a Belgian
But I’m having so many questions

Shake it off
I really wanna turn around
Blow my face up, really really make it loud
I’m done but I really really really want to

Shake it off and really give me more to swallow
Lose my head, so I could be the one you follow
I'm done but i really really really want you

I’m serious
I’m not winning
I tried to cry at the beginning
It’s cool
Pull the trigger
You’re making God seem bigger now

about

Queen's Pleasure Amsterdam, Netherlands

Queen’s Pleasure is an impertinent semi-psychedelic classic four piece
garagerock outfit, based in Amsterdam. Driven by a brutal and poetic desire for
love, Queen’s Pleasure sounds like a mix of Dandy Warhols and Blur, with the
power of The Ramones and the melancholy of The Smiths. A ‘Wall of sound’
delivered with an energy you can expect from a group in their late teens.
